        * Recurrence: 3 per 100 person-years
        * Major bleed: 3 per 100 person-years
        * peak-to-trough: 3
      * Rivaroxaban
        * Recurrence: 7 per 100 person-years
        * Major bleed: 7 per 100 person-years
        * peak-to-trough: 10

  * Thrombolysis: not routinely performed
  * Indications (thrombolysis/thrombectomy)
    * phlegmasia cerulea dolens
    * massive iliofemoral DVT
    * failure of therapeutic anticoagulation
  * candidates:
    * symptoms < 14 days
    * good functional status
    * low bleeding risk
